SALTY DOGFIGHT: THE ULTIMATE "GIN & JUICE"

Gin & Juice - Snoop Dogg knows it is a dope mix. He released a song titled "Gin & Juice" just (gulp) 30 years ago, but more recently he has also released a line of ready-t0-drink canned cocktails. But Snoop, with so much drama in the RTDs it's kinda hard to believe you missed one of these. May I kick a little somethin' for the G's?

Let us enlighten you with 1350 Distilling's take on the classic Salty Dog. We call ours the "Salty Dogfight" because we use our Gold Medal winning Wingman Gin, dedicated to our U.S. Air Force and made with Colorado sugar beets making it a Colorado Proud and gluten free spirit. You could also use our Minuteman Vodka instead, as a traditional Salty Dog is made with both spirits.

Freshly squeezed grapefruit and lime juice are the key ingredients to making this cocktail a hit. It will not be the same with canned juice. Our Wingman Gin pairs amazingly well with any citrus. A touch of salt on your rim, and this drink could quickly become your most favorite warm weather libation.

Don’t think the “juice is worth the squeeze” on this one, we suggest using 2 ounces of Colorado’s Freshies Paloma Mix made with real juices instead. We sell bottles of this in our Taste Lounge too.

First, use a lime wedge to wet the rim of your glass and rim it with salt.

In glass add:

• Ice

• 2 oz Wingman Gin (80 proof / 40% abv)

• 2 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

• 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

Stir in the glass and garnish with fresh spanked mint.

The spanked mint isn't for Snoop, it is to make your Salty Dogfight aromatic and even more enjoyable as you're rollin down the street... sippin your gin and juice... laid back.

Sidenote: We now offer some of Snoop's other products in our Taste Lounge: Rap Snacks Chips
