Here's to our Fire Fighters!

There are so many things happening in Colorado Springs this weekend. Besides the Pikes Peak Regional Air Show you may notice a large influx of visitors in the downtown area of our city. Many will be here to honor the 250 fallen firefighters whose names will be added to the IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Memorial Park this Saturday.

Donations

1350 Distilling “Celebrates the American Spirit of our military and their loved ones, one drink at a time.” Our gratitude and recognition also relays to our first responders. For this reason, 13.50% of all bottle and merchandise sales this weekend (Friday, September 20, 2019 through Sunday, September 22, 2019) will be donated to the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund.

Location

We are right in the middle of all of the downtown action with the Memorial. We are just a 15 minute walk from Antlers Hotel straight down Pikes Peak Avenue. We are just 12 minutes away from Tejon Street where the nighttime parade occurs both Friday and Saturday evening around 8pm*. We are also an 18 minute walk due west on Pikes Peak Avenue from the Fallen Firefighter Memorial at Memorial Park. We are the closest cocktail to that event, and our food truck will be the closest food. Our hours are 3-10pm on Friday, 12-10pm on Saturday, and 1-7pm on Sunday.

Food Trucks

We will have food trucks outside our door on Friday & Saturday from 4-8pm. We hope you will enjoy a couple of great local trucks. Friday we have Slow Downz Texas Creole.

Live Bagpipes and Drums on Friday

Friday night at 6:30pm we will be hosting the Tucson Fire Pipes & Drums at our HQ’s at 520 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Come hear this great group of humans play some traditional bagpipe songs, including our most favorite rendition of “Amazing Grace” in triple time beat. They will play at 6:30pm on Friday afternoon.

Drinks

We have increased our infusions this week with both our Minuteman Vodka and Guardian Bourbon. Come sample our wide arrangement as a spritzer or order from our tasty cocktail menu. We also offer non-alcoholic drinks, Pikes Peak Lemonade Co. drinks, and Rocky Mountain Soda Company.

Jake has made a special Cinnamon Bourbon infusion for our firefighter friends too. The natural ingredients blows away the competition without any sugar flavoring to make you hurt the next day.

We hope to see you this weekend.

Here’s to the Firefighters!

* Tejon Street is closed between Pikes Peak Avenue and Kiowa to allow for all of the visiting pipes and drum bands from America and Canada to march in and play a set on Friday and Saturday about 8pm. The Colorado Springs Fire Department typically leads the procession with a few fire engines. This is a great (and free) event for all ages. Friday is sometimes less attended and more comfortable for families with younger children.
