We have been sharing the news about our Limited Edition Memorial Bourbon (100 Proof / 50% ABV) we created for the Local 5's hosted IAFF Firefighter Memorial for awhile now. We had local firefighters help us bottle the spirit. It has been a couple of weeks since the big weekend, but we have great news to share.
We met so many amazing people from across the nation and Canada during that time. We heard the beautiful stories of remembrance of the brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our communities. The emotion and appreciation of others' actions was overwhelming yet deeply rewarding. That is why we are proud to make this announcement.
As a part of 1350 Distilling's Angel Battalion, our philanthropic arm, a portion of the proceeds collected for this limited run bourbon was donated today to the Colorado Springs Firefighters Foundation, which deeply benefits local firefighters and their families in Colorado Springs. A check in the amount of $1,200 was presented to the CSFF Board. We look forward to future endeavors together and supporting the brave men and women that benefit this fantastic city.
There are literally just a couple of bottles remaining in our Taste Lounge. Once they are gone, we will have to wait until next year to experience another similar limited run whiskey. Because of the enormous appreciation of both the gesture and quality of our Memorial Bourbon, we know next year will be even bigger and better.
Thank you to all that have supported us, especially the Local 5 and CSFF. Without their support, this success would never have happened. This isn't the first time 1350 has donated to firefighters, we have been contributing to the Memorial for the past four years, but this is the first time we had such an impact.
